Facebook: How to Hide the Posts by Others on Your Wall

Usually messages posted on your Facebook wall are personal and may contain sensitive information. Sometimes those messages or wall posts may be abusing for you and you would like to delete them straight away as the posts on your wall are visible to others and even some times you would not like to share those messages with your friends. Recently such type of incident happened to me when one of my old friends posted on my wall and at the same time one of my friends started asking me about the message. So I thought of hiding my wall posts. So here is how I did it, if you would like to hide your Facebook wall posts please follow the below procedure.

 

How to Hide the Posts by Others on Your Facebook wall

 

1. Login to your Facebook account.

2. Go to Account->Privacy Setting

3. Click the Edit Settings under the How you connect option.

4. The How You Connect settings window will pop up, now change the “Who can see Wall posts by others on your profile?” option to Only me and click on Done.

That’s all, now only you can see the wall posts posted by others on your Facebook wall.

    didn’t work for me. if i choose “only me” anyone can’t post on my wall anymore.

      Please choose the only me option for “Who can see Wall posts by others on your profile?” and not for “Who can post on your wall”. Please recheck your settings as shown above in the post. It should work fine

        It doesn’t work. It behaves like Fortezzadigitale says. Setting “Who can see Wall posts by others on your profile?” to “Only me”, for example, makes it impossible for anyone to post on my wall. Whoever isn’t allowed to see posts by others also isn’t allowed to post.

          It worked for me, Ok Let me verify the issue what you are saying, I will check with some other friends if the issue is there, if what you are saying is correct then it is really an issue with Facebook, I will send the feedback to the FB team after verifying the issue.

            Hi! I have the same issue – my wall allows “Friends” to post on my wall, and the visibility for posts by others is set for “Only Me” — however, these settings have prevented EVERYONE from posting on my wall! That box where one normally writes a wall post, is totally gone! Well, gone from everyone else except myself. What’s wrong?
            I want all my friends to be able to post on my wall, but only I could see them..

          I have reported the same as a bug to Facebook. It seems as a bug as of now. But the functionality was working fine earlier.
