There is good news for the students pursuing their Ph.D. from international universities in any country that they can apply to Facebook Fellowship program. Earlier this program was only limited to the students of US universities but now Facebook has opened the door for all students from across the world.

 

About Facebook Fellowship Program

facebook fellowshipFacebook accepts applications from students pursuing Ph.D. who are interested in several topics like Computational Advertising, Computer Vision, Compiler Technology, Computer Security, Database etc. for a fellowship program.

Earlier this program was only limited for the students of US universities, but this time Facebook has opened it for the students across the globe. Ph.D. students from international universities must be nominated by the university professor to apply for the fellowship program.

 

 

Benefits to the Facebook fellowships

Each fellowship is entitled to the benefits given below:

  • Tuition and fees will be paid for the academic year.
  • $30K stipend (paid over 9 months of the academic year).
  • $5K per year toward conference attendance and travel.
  • $2.5K toward a personal computer.
  • Opportunity to apply for a paid summer internship.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Facebook Fellowship Program
  • Full-time Ph.D. students in topical areas represented by these fellowships who are currently involved in on-going research.
  • Students must be studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Architecture, or a related area.
  • Students must be enrolled during the academic year that the Fellowship is awarded.
  • Students must be nominated by a faculty member.
  • The Fellowship Program is open to Ph.D. students globally.
