  11. Edit your posts
  12. Use a reader-friendly layout

Above points are very simple and easy to follow. If you follow them you will be able to build your audience. Now lets see what does each of them mean.

Help Out People

I am sure most of us have bought some kind of digital products at some point of time. But before buying the product we do check the quality of service provided by the manufacturer of the product. This is in order to ensure that if something happens in future we can get it repair easily. So first thing in selling something is providing a good solution or service.

Similarly in blogging you need to understand the demand of your audience and can help them by providing a good solution to them. You need to understand their issue and provide a good solution for them, this will ensure that you are helping your audience. So if you help out people it will create a faith in them for your blog and this will make them come back to your blog for more solution.

Be Entertaining

Who does not want entertainment, you, me and everyone wants entertainment, may it be in reading. Yes entertainment is one of the most important things in our life. Most of us lose interest in reading a post if it does not entertain us. You will never be able to build loyal audience if your content is boring. People will always head towards the blog where they find content that makes them inspired, motivating and entertaining. So try to write content in a entertaining way or motivating way. I would suggest to follow story telling approach in writing your article.

Try to Be Different

This is very hard to except but you have to accept it. Just ask yourself, “Why Would Some one be a loyal audience of your blog if it does not provide different content?”. I know this is very difficult but not impossible. You need to be different from everywhere else to build a loyal audience. One way of doing is to conduct research on what you are going to write about. You can go to different people to gather different information. You have to do anything that will bring back your readers and make them exciting every time they come back to your blog.

Leave Them To Come back for More

Does it sound weird? It may surprise you at first but let me explain. Have you ever seen any product in market that comes with whole package, for example if you buy a cell phone does it come with all accessories? No right, something is left out, so that you have to back back and purchase it separately. Similarly if you provide everything in a single article the the hunger to know more is over. If you are writing any article try to find a chance to split it into episodes. This will ensure that something is left out and readers will definitely come back to grab the left out portion. You must have seen this type of approach in tutorials related articles. So take an idea do complete research on it and build your content accordingly.

Blog Frequently

Number of audience is directly proportional to the frequency of your blogging. That means if you post articles frequently then your visitor count will increase and ultimately it will make them come back to your blog every time. For example today I visited XYZ blog and I liked the content and the blog, so tomorrow also I would like to visit the blog in order to get something new, if I do not find anything new then I may come back again day after tomorrow but if I still don’t find anything new I may not comeback tomorrow. So it is very important to update your blog with new articles at a frequency of 4-5 posts per week at least.

Special Promotions Or Give Away

One of the most simple and cost-effective strategies for enhancing reader loyalty is through promotions and contests. This can be a great way of appreciating people who visit your blog frequently or comment actively. The best thing about blog contests is that you don’t have to offer expensive prizes to winners. The prize could be as basic as a free eBook, free software or complimentary services. Winners can be picked using different methods including reader votes, blog post submissions or simply random selection. You need to ensure that the selection method used is fair so as to maintain your credibility with readers.

Identify Your Audience

This is the most important factor that can help you getting good loyal audience. So first of all you need to do a through research on this and try to find out your targeted audience. You need to ask yourself:

  • Who is my audience?
  • What questions my audience will have?
  • What does my audience already know about the subject?
  • What do they need to know? and etc….

If you have properly identified your audience the it helps a lot in writing content and building a good relationship.
