How to Enable Instant Page in Chrome for a Faster Browsing Experience
In my last post we discussed about How you can implement instant page on your website. Today we will see how to enable “Instant pages” feature in chrome browser for a faster browsing experience. Latest Google Chrome browser comes with the feature of Instant Pages, that means when you type any term in URL bar the instant page will appear quickly in the browser. But this feature is disabled in Chrome by default. Lets see how to enable Instant Pages.
STEP1: First of all you need the get the latest stable version of Google chrome, that is 13+ version. You can check your chrome version by clicking on the spanner icon on the right top corner of chrome and then clicking on “About Google Chrome”.
STEP2: Again click on the Settings spanner icon and click on “Options”. You can see the settings page. In the search section select the checkbox against “Enable Instant for faster searching and browsing”. Make Sure that you select Google as the default search engine.
STEP3: In the same options page click on the Under the Hood on the left navigation panel and activate the prediction service, to do so select the the check box against “Predict network actions to improve page load performance”
That’s all, instant pages is activated for Google Chrome. Now when you type some term in the URL bar predicted results appear instantly in the browser. Google also preloads the first search result page, so that when you click on the first result it gets loaded instantly, its like super fast.
