Save your Gmail Messages in Google Docs
Do you know you can save your Gmail email in your Google Docs and can edit them like you edit your other documents? Even you can export the saved email from Google Docs to any other formats like PDF, word doc etc.
To save your Gmail email to Google Docs you need to integrate your Gmail account to your Google Docs account. To integrate Gmail with Google Docs, go to the Gmail Labs page and enable the “Create a Document” gadget. Save the changes and return to your Inbox.
How to Save Gmail Email To Google Docs
As we have integrated our Gmail with the Google Docs, its time for testing the feature if we are able to save the email to our Google Docs account.
Open any existing email from your inbox and you should see a “Create a Document” link under the More menu box as shown in the screenshot above. Click that link and now your message should have been saved to your Google Docs account. Login to your Google Docs account and check if the message has been saved or not.
Note: If the email contains any attachment it will be ignored while saving to the Google Docs account. Once you have saved your email to Google Docs you can edit them like you edit any other documents. And you can also export them to any format like PDF, Word docs etc.
