Are you frustrated with the long boot time of your windows system? Then I have a solution for you which will speed up your windows boot up time. For speeding up your boot up time you need not go to your BIOS settings, you can do the changes in the windows configuration itself using the “msconfig”.

Steps to speed up windows boot up time:

STEP1: Open run dialog box and enter msconfig.exe. This will open the msconfig options

msconfig1

STEP2: Click on the boot tab.

STEP3: Now click on the “Advanced options” button.

msconfig2

STEP4: Select the check box “Number of processor” and select the maximum number of processors you have from the drop down. Select the “Maximum memory” check box. By doing so your system will use all the CPU and maximum memory available to boot up and boot up will be faster.

msconfig3

STEP5: In this step you need to disable the services which are not required at the time of boot up. You can disable the programs like yahoo messanger, GTalk etc. Click on the start up tab and disable the unwanted services, but make sure that you do not disable the services that are required by the system.

I did these changes I found a great boost in boot up timing. You can also try these steps to boost up your booting time. If you have any other ways of doing so please provide your comments.
