Features of SysTools Gmail Backup Software

Here are some eye catching features of this tool that I find most useful.

Backup Multiple Gmail Accounts: Its supports taking backup from multiple Gmail accounts at a time. All you need to do is save all your Gmail user name and passwords into a csv file and add it to the tool, it will take the backup from all of your Gmail accounts.

Multiple File Format Support: This tool can create backup of email data in four different formats,  PST, EML, MSG, or MBOX. You can select any of these file formats and use them with other applications.

Option to Select Type of Gmail Data Backup: Backup all items like: emails, contacts, calendars and documents from multiple email accounts. Also; you can check or uncheck specific items rather than backing up all of them with Meta properties like: to, from, Cc, Bcc, & attachments kept intact.

select backup typeApply Date Filters: You can take the backup of Gmail data within a specific date range. This option saves lot of time for me. Apply filters to minimize the time consumed in unnecessarily downloading the entire Gmail account data.

Complete Backup Status Report: The software shows you real time complete progress report with details like: email count, calendars count, contact count, document count, status & action while backup is being taken.

Save Internet Bandwidth: A throttle setting option is available to manage internet bandwidth use. Specify percentage of total internet bandwidth that you want the tool to consume for creating backup. You can also set a time slot setting for a specific amount of bandwidth as per your need by providing a “To” & “From” time slot of hours and minutes.I find this option is very useful when I do use internet on a limited account data card.

Pros and Cons of SysTools Gmail Backup Software

Pros: Its is a a complete self explaining application, you just need to launch the application and follow the options on the screen. Rich features like supports for multi language and account history helps a lot. I found this application quite faster when you have good internet bandwidth.

Cons: This software is only available for Windows application which is bit disappointing for other users. You need to has MS Outlook for taking backup in PST format, this is really very disappointing for most of the users as a majority of the users may not have MS Outlook installed on their system.
